The acoustic version of My Sanity was actually pieced together well after the Drama Kids era. While working on Swallowing The Pill (in mid 2005) the master tracks to a few songs (My Sanity & Seven) surfaced via the album's producer David Castell. At that same time Apple had just released Garageband, an incredibly dumbed down recording software application, so it made it possible to easily import the separated tracks and play along with them.

Paco's vocals on this version are the same as the ones on the full Drama Kids release of the song, recorded years prior in 2003 by Alex Gerst at Indian Trail Studios in Krum, TX. The acoustic guitar tracks, however, were recorded by G.I. in 2005 at his home. It was an experiment more than anything as G.I. was testing out Garageband as well as his new Martin acoustic at the time...it ended up turning into a great version of a classic SouthFM song.
