Just Before We Go was one of many songs rehearsed frequently during the writing sessions for Swallowing The Pill. It was played live a time or two (mostly acoustic) but never made it to the pre-production stage for the record and thus was never included. This version was recorded at Indian Trail Studios in Krum, TX and engineered by Alex Gerst. Paco wrote the lyrics while G.I. wrote the music for this track.

lyrics
we made plans to have it all
chase our dreams until our lives were full
of moments that could make up for things we never saw
seemed like us against the world
seemed like us against the rules
seemed like us against repeating the same mistakes our parents made
but summer leaves give into fall
and autumn leave give into natural law
they lose their color on the ground when winter calls
they say all good things come to end
they say things break if they can't bend
because we never learned to swim...
we drowned the meaning of it all
something tells me this is the last time you and i will meet
so we'll call this day our anniversary
next year meet here and we'll celebrate upon this street
and i guess thats why they call it letting go
just before we go. right after the show.
i have to let you know. that i still miss you.
i lost my faith in god and you
cut my ties with all the friends i knew
said good bye to me and wrapped myself in blue
since even drugs can't get me through
i'm moving on i'm growing up
i'm learning there's a time to cry
and a time to not give a fuck
something tells me this is the last time you and i will meet
so we'll call this day our anniversary
next year meet here and we'll celebrate upon this street
and i guess thats why they call it letting go
just before we go. right after the show.
i have to let you know. that i still miss you.
your father never really liked me
your mom was always such a mess
and here amidst my indecision
i'll save this moment for my best
